MacCurrach Golf was awarded the 2010 Legacy Award for Best Renovation by Golf Course Industry magazine for the outstanding renovation work they completed at Ocala Golf Club during the summer of 2009. Ocala Golf Club is a par 72, 6,552-yard public golf course that was redesigned by Michael Beebe, ASGCA, of Palm Coast, Florida. The Builder Excellence Awards are handed out each year by Golf Course Industry to recognize outstanding work in golf course construction. This year’s awards were announced at the annual meeting of the Golf Course Builders Association of America in Milwaukee, WI.
According to Beebe, “I am honored that both MacCurrach Golf and Ocala Golf Club have received this much-deserved award. The renovation was a labor of love for all involved and the final product speaks volumes on the quality of work performed by MacCurrach Golf. Brian Almony, president of MacCurrach, deserves much credit for making sure the work was done on time, within budget and to the highest standards despite extreme weather conditions during the construction. I am certain that our success on this project is a direct result of MacCurrach’s long-standing commitment to doing outstanding work regardless of the situation. The City of Ocala and the public golfer in the Ocala area are the real beneficiaries of the finished product at Ocala Golf Club.”
